chickencam Posted October 11, 2009 Share Posted October 11, 2009 After all of my worrying and deciding to record this from the Friday night showing, so that i could make a judgement on it's suitablility, I found out that my daughter had watched it on Wednesday anyway, and in her words thought it was 'awesome' and no worse in graphic content than other things she has seen. She loved the Twilight books, devouring them in the space of a few weeks. We hardly got any sense out of her during the October half term break last year. YD has also read the first two books. It's Bills voice, it's soooooo deep and manly I knew I'd seen Bill somewhere before and it was driving me mad trying to figure it out so I Googled and found he was in The Grand, I used to love that. And I remember Jason when he was Vinnie in Home And Away! Spike always made me laugh much more than Angel, but Angel still made me swoon with his moodiness . I admit as the series goes on I much prefer the bad vampire Eric to good vampire Bill . EmmaJC Posted October 14, 2009 Share Posted October 14, 2009 For those who spotted similarities between this and Twilight, please be aware that the True Blood books (Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Mysteries or something equally overlong) were produced years before Twilight was written. So many Twilight fans have said that the writers of this series should be done for plagarism when frankly it should be the other way around! This is one of those instances I think where the series is better than the books actually. I prefered Spike Angel was okay.... Watched the first episode of True Blood last night...I quite like it, although it is quite graphic.
