tomorrow is the day of the apple day apple pie competiton. i have entered and spent all day baking like a mad person.

 

i have entered a photo and a preserve aswell, and paul has been entered into the mens competion for a pie and a cake.

 

you never know........

my pie won the apple pie day competition!!!

 

this has been a long time coming and i feel a little smug this time as i have entered before.

 

its a very long story, but to cut it short, 2 years ago when i entered they said my perfectly cooked pastry was undercooked!!!!! it wasnt.

 

this time i entered and i won first prize.

Oh brilliant - well done indeed. I am now thinking perhaps I should make pastry with my feet - they are always cold. Er eeeewwwwwwwww don't think so. Strangely my grandmothers both had very hot hands - one did lovely puff pastry and the other did lovely shortcrust. I bung mine in the food processor - sorted!
