Well, if we are all admitting to things then I thought I better!

 

As you all know I hatched some polish bantams a couple of months back which sadly died after a power cut. Well my friend who raised them has offered to 'repay' me for them by hatching some more out.

 

Well the incubator takes 60 bantam eggs.

 

So we currently have these lined up to go in and have 1/2 dozen more we are going to buy...

 

6 Blue Buff Colombian Brahma bantams

12 Salmon Faverolle bantams

30 Pekins. Blue, Black, Splash, Wheaton, Red, Mottled, Lavender Mottled.

6 Frizzles. Various colours

 

I will be having nearly all the resulting girls as well

Yes you lucky devil indeed! I have the incubators, I just need more land - then I can keep & breed a lot lot more.

I need to move now, not in 4 years time!

 

Fingers crossed for lots of girls, but boys can also be beautiful & useful for carrying on the breeds & good genes!

Tom - just remember any more than 50 live birds in your flock and you MUST register with DEFRA! And that isn't 50 chickens, it is 50 feathered birds, so ducks & geese add to the chicken tally.

Well, already have a small business with poultry but am looking at working with horses, probably a stud. Have already spent at month a Susan George's Arab Stud Farm which was fantastic
