Leisure cookers/ranges?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone here got, or have feedback on these?

My 20 year old gas cooker is on its last legs now and i'm hoping that it will last for Christmas; a friend has recommended a Leisure cooker - she has a range, is very pleased with it and I really like the retro look.

I would go for a dual fuel one. Feedback is most welcome.

Guess where my Christmas money will be going!

Funnily enough we were thinking of replacing our cooker last month and also looked at these. In the end we opted to repair our existing cooker. I went off the Leisure one, it seemed a bit 'tinny' and for the price, didn't have as many features as the Cannon one that we would have chosen. I'm racking my brains now, I can't remember all the reasons why we didn't like it :?

I have a Rangemaster duel fuel range cooker & its brilliant.

I had to shop around a fair bit to find one with a proper grill - many had a sort of grill/oven thing, which is not much use if you want to grill AND use the oven at the same time

The double oven is dead handy too, & I should think that the option of just heating a smaller oven would be great for you,Clare.

I got it in nice brushed steel - it was a total bargain too!

I decided on the one I wanted & found a chap on ebay who was selling the exact one which he had won in a competition :P

I got it for just over half price 8)

I am having a Rangemaster cooker in a few weeks. I have been looking into them and found they have good reviews. I have chosen an all electric Elan 110 or Elan 90 depending on how we plan our new kitchen. I found a place on the internet which is £300 cheaper than anywhere else, the cooker hoods and splash backs are 50% cheaper. The site is bookmarked on my laptop (on big puter at the mo), I will post the site later.

I would love a multifuel Rayburn, but at nearly £9000 couldn't justify the price at the moment.

We have a double oven one in cream with a grill + pully out draw thinng on the bottom of one half. I like it and mother spent agen trying to find it and they're happy with it :D

Had it for a couple of years + only broke once when I put half a tub of baking soda in a cake and it exploded in the oven  but its fixed now
