Busybird
Okay, so DS2 wants a new Wii game (nothing new there...) except all the Christmas budget is used up (I'm organised this year!). I told him to sort through the drawer of games and leave out any he no longer played with. He handed over a collection of Game Boy, DS and one Wii game - about a dozen games in total. Any advice on where the best place to sell these is? (I don't ebay). Am I kidding myself that the older stuff might actually be worth anything? All but one of the games have original box, cartridge and instruction leaflet although I have binned the health and safety bumph
Snowy
Your best bet might be to take them into a games shop. We have a couple near us that we (well, son) uses - Mr Chips and something like Connections. They will usually give a reasonable price for them (providing they are not scratched!) and you might be able to get the game he wants second hand as well
chickencam
There are quite a few game shops around that do part exchange deals, but you won't get much. Ebay is by far the best option, we just sold a DS game for virtually what we paid for it

Be cautious if you decide to car boot them, people will pinch the game and leave the case as I found out to the tune of three lost games at a car boot sale
Chucky Mama
You could try Amazon or there is a CEX in Swindon that will probably take them. You get more for them if you exchange for another game (?Wii game) rather than just get the straight cash.
Raina
I'm always buying & selling Games I normally sell them either on eBay or game Shops Most places won't buy the gameboy games/or you'll only get £1 or £2 for them? Hope i've helped
furryelephant
Do you have a free ads paper like "Loot"? You could pop an ad in there or on a local notice board in a shop or local magazine? As the others have said the alternative is Part-Ex in Game or suchlike.. but to honest, they'll give you hardly anything for them unless you chip them in as part-payment towards a new game. Sorry, can't really help any further Paula
Snowy
That was the name I was trying to remember - CEX, not Connections
Busybird
Useful info there - thank you all. There is a small Games Exchange in our local town - I will try to pop in and see if they have anything DS2 would like. Last time he went in they had no Wii games I would imagine a city would have a better selection but OH isn't keen on carrying all the boxes into work on his bike and trawling round Bristol in his lunch hour We get no free papers delivered to our village and I know of no exchange schemes locally that I could advertise on for free. PurpleTree
Are you on your local netmums? http://www.netmums.com/home/home/ They have a Nearly New board, you might be able to sell them on there. I've bought Christmas pressies for the boys on here in the past.
