Charlottechicken
Thanks for the reminder about this Emma I saw the ad for this and it looks interesting. I may have more success with crochet than knitting as I am so cack handed (neither left or right handed so never know which side is in charge) and never know which way I am going I have had a little go at crochet in the past and managed to produce lots of pastel coloured flowers made up of very simple chain stitch fairly quickly, I was impressed
craftyhunnypie
I thought for 99p it was a right bargain. The wool is lovely to crochet with & the hook is decent too. Good luck in your crochet venture everyone! If I can do it ( last years new year resolution), then anyone can. I learnt from youtube. But be wary, as American stitches are different. An American double crochet, is an English treble. Emma.x
Guest
I'm finding it a real pain trying to turn the instructions on their head and have found some leftie lessons on the net so I'm going to unpick and try again cos this... http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=4299443&l=40c81d8afb&id=568396756 doesn't look like the double crochet in the picture in the mag! craftyhunnypie
Understood - naughty lot, us Omleteers! I've finished my scarf nearly, just got to crochet the shells on the other end. Now hubby, mum & dad want one making - minus the shells for the men. Emma.x
Cooks
wellllll I am crocheting 'something' but whether it's right I do not know... I seem to be doing double stitch then a turning stitch and then double again cos I am ok at that stitch and not as confident with the others.. I am having no problems with tension now, but I did have on my first few attempts, I just held the wool in a different way and I was fine. Charlottechicken
I have not been able to get the crochet mag, all sold out round here I found out that the very local newsagent had 12 delivered and did not think he would sell one, he said he could've sold twice that! None left in two independent newsagents near work and the big Tesco's is all sold out as well Oh well, I have an old crochet hook and some wool, and a tiny black and white instruction book so will see how I get on with that instead, I'm sure the end result will be the same
craftyhunnypie
The pattern was just 1 double crochet, one treble . Was easy! Am I allowed to tell you that? You can make your own patterns up really. I like doing clusters. I also like changing colours regularly. I find crochet takes less concentration than knitting & it's easier to correct if you go wrong. It grows quick too! Emma.x

bluekarin
If I ever get out of the house and into town I shall have a look for this. I only learnt to crochet just before christmas and love it. I tried doing the stars, eventually making up my own pattern once I realised what certain stitches do. But I think I really 'got it' when I did Attic 24s snowflakes. Nice easy instructions, clear diagrams. A doddle

I had to ask where it was though, even though it's in enormous packaging. I must have walked past it 3 times. JJ
