need a new roof for my WIR what to use and how?

Recommended Posts

hi since having my wir i have had a temp tarpolin on the roof but i made the mistake of not slanting it (only planned on it being there for summer  )

so now the water puddles on the roof and with all the snow gets very heavy- i have meshed roof panels under it (flat) but dont want the added weight! plus it nas a leak which keeps getting the bedding wet :x

what is best to use to replace it? i obviously want to slant it and use guttering, but have no idea on how to slant it as the flat roof panels are already fixed?

any advice greatly recieved

I asked a similar thing about the roof recently ... we're hopefully getting some clear corrugated plastic with batons across the roof panels to raise it up.

A couple of useful replies:

I agree 100% with sjp, the translucent roofing needs a slope. A 15'x6' roof area will catch a lot of water.

The general rule is a 50mm slope over a 6' depth. You can have a look at how I did my roof and gutters in detail ** here **.
