prof
hi, i presently have a & . i am going to sell the and get a cube, but am unsure which is the best colour my chucks will not go in the , no matter where i put it in the garden, but prefer the instead they all cram in together which is getting to be a bit of a squease now that the orps are getting bigger they will go in the if the is locked which colour is best? i was wondering if a darker colour may be best, as the eglus i have are quite light inside? thanks
Lewis
Its up to your garden and what you like really ... being light inside may only really be a deciding factor if you have a cockerel or loud hens I prefer the

You won't get any useful advice from us, this is one subject where we disagree a lot and like to support our own colour. katieD
i had a originally and it was quite light and showed up marks quite easily- now got a and its so much better- always looks smart and looks fab with purple tub trugs as planters within run. plus ive planted lavender around the run which colour coordinates fabulously! definately !! docsquid
I have a but when I ordered it, I didn't know any other colours were available - I'd seen the green one at a show at the NEC. I wish I'd thought about it a bit more, because the is fab, and orange is my favourite colour. However that's the only cube I'm going to get, so I'll have to live with it until it needs replacing! Cooks
thanks my will arrive on 3rd feb cant wait i just hope the stupid orps can work out how to get up & down the ladder my orpies manage the ladder fine, although my WIR base is designed so the ladder is closer to the ground than it would be normally, so they dont have to 'hop up' onto the first rung. If in doubt put an upturned plant pot there that will help them. I love my and wouldn't be without him for all the chocolate in Cadbury's
prof
i will try that for the orps if they struggle cant wait for the
Chook n Boo Mum
My Orpies manage the ladder...they make a right song & dance about it, but they do about most things so no change there then!! Sha x
