Squeal! It's an American folky-arty boho lifestyle shop, and it's arrived in Regent Street! I'm always seeing things from it on upscale US crafty blogs, and it does look very contrivedly lovely.

 

I went yesterday, and it's beautiful. They have a green wall - a living plant covered wall - on the stairwell, and a narwhal over a dining table. It's beautiful weird, and also gulpably shocking pricewise.

 

For instance, these dish towels are advertised at that price on the web, but instore, they just change the $ for the £ sign, so they're £22. But I got them for £1.95 because "Ooops, word censored!"ody is going to buy them. I am going to use them as part of a framed window quilty curtain thing I'm making. I like hedgehogs.

 

What do you think of Anthro (as the trendy yanks call it)?

some really lovely stuff - really like the teatowels. Have you had a look at the kids section? There is a crochet chess set for £88something *gulp* I shall have a longer peruse later as I am really meant to be doing stuff, and not be on here

Super pouf! Actually that's not expensive by Anthro standards. Just by normal standards!

It is a great shop, not been into the regent street store, but it is overpriced (rather than expensive!) They have put a lot of money into opening in the UK and they are opening a huge store on the Kings Road later in the year...

We popped into the Regent Street store for a mooch and it really is stunning, a friend in the US loves their stuff and alerted me to it. far too expensive though.

Uh Oh! I've just seen the jewellery. Beautiful necklaces and not too pricey. So far love the Deck-The-Halls Necklace and the Sun Seeker Necklace and the Of-The-Sea Necklace . . . .

The stuff is beautiful if expensive... but no point looking at a lot of it as it is too small!

 

Why do the sizes stop at 14 in so much of the range? I'm a 16 and it mystifies me why so many shops don't think I need clothes!

I think on the website it says the clothes are in USA sizes, so a UK size 16 is a US size 12 (that's the quickest way for any of us to drop 2 dress sizes )

They remembered me. Not sure if that's because they have amazing customer service or if I've just 'got one of those faces'.

The scarf has no bunnies on it. You just feel like it's springtime in their shoppe! They are so NICE! Manipulative, scheming faux-boho salesmongers! I fall for it every time!
