Lot two moved to the hatcher as day 18, only 8 eggs left in the running though

Eggs due to hatch tomorrow...

 

Our fusebox melted in the night setting fire to the ceiling eggs have been withot heat for over 12 hours (not to mention the poor month old chicks ) we have had the supply repaired now but I am worried the eggs may not hatch

Keep everything crossed and expect them to be late. A friend of mine had a broody leave the nest at about that stage (red mite problem), so she took them into the school where she works and they went in their incubator. They were late but all hatched eventually. Unfortunately they were all boys .....

Oh my goodness Redwing! I hope they'll be ok, is your ceiling/house ok? I take it you are all ok. how awful. is there much damage?

Yes there is quite a bit of damage but the fire was contained and didnt spread luckily
