Lesley
Anyone else watching? ....or trying to watch.....I'm really disappointed with the coverage.....I need a decent Highlights programme, I don't want to watch it all and I can't be faffed with Red Button, I'd just like a catch up with what's happening. We stayed up 'til 1am to see the Skeleton Bob which was due at midnight but was delayed so now I'm trawling through 6 hours of overnight coverage and watching it in between feeding dogs and getting dressed/breakfast/housework ..........no, scrub the housework I have managed to watch the Moguls, Half Pipe and some of the Curling......too much downhill whilst waiting for other stuff
Griffin
I'm bleary eyed from staying up until a ridiculous hour night after night after night watching it with Mr Griffin. We like all of the snowboarding events and I'm looking forward to seeing some ski jump tonight. I'm good at that on the Wii Fit
C&T
I agree about the coverage - it is awful. Euro Sports is better than the BBC - but there is still no proper catch up program. Trying my best to watch as much as possible - but it is pretty difficult! Am enjoying what I have managed to see though!!
Chickendoodle
The schedules are turned upside down for football and I too am disappointed that there is not a proper highlights progamme in the evening. Surely the BBC could ditch one of their repeats for the duration? I am not interested in football but I love watching the more minority sports and the winter olympics are particularly watchable as there is always a lot of danger mixed in - check out the 4 crazies on snowboards careering around an icy track!! OK I admit the curling is not dangerous but it is really interesting to watch and I love that people are dedicated to their sports not for money but just for the sheer love of them. Come on BBC
chelsea
We love the Winter olympics here and are also disappointed about the coverage We've been watching a lot on Eurosport though. The women's downhill was amazing - challenging course and lots of mishaps...
Cooks
I did the same as you Lesely waited up but when they were still preparing the ice I just gave up...
docsquid
I'm glued to Eurosport, who do re-runs of the main events during the day. Anything I really want to watch I record on Virgin+ and watch the next day. The thing that annoys me about the BBC is that they assume people are only interested in events that have British chances of medals, which means they have hours of interminably boring curling. I love alpine skiing, and have done a bit of ski racing (giant slalom) myself, but the BBC tend to cover curling live and skiing on the red button, which you can't record on Virgin+. Eurosport, on the other hand, cover skiing live all year round, and therefore I tend to favour their coverage. They also cover tennis other than Wimbledon, and all the major cycling events. Eurosport is probably the channel I watch more than any other! I am also a big fan of cross-country skiing and biathlon, as well as alpine skiing. Ole Einar Bjorndalen is a hero of mine, even if he is Norwegian and not British. Eurosport cover biathlon very well, and don't assume people in Britain aren't interested in these sports. Performances that stand out for me so far are:- Maria Reisch in yesterday's combined - absolutely stunning slalom run put enough pressure on Vonn to make her crash out and win gold. Petra Madjic - bronze in the cross country sprints despite having four broken ribs. Amazing guts. She collapsed after the finish. Anja Paerson - for even starting yesterday's combined, let alone getting a bronze, after her huge crash in the downhill. Evan Lysachek - in the men's short programme, that set him up for the chance of a gold, which he took last night after the free programme. Sean White - in the men's half-pipe. I'm not a snowboarding fan, but that really blew me away. Things I'm looking forward to:- Chemmy Alcott going in the Super G and GS although realistically she'd have to be at her very best and the others not at theirs to get a medal. Indeed, all the rest of the alpine ski programme should be great. Biathlon relays - very wide open indeed, should be exciting, so many teams with a good chance. I hope our girls medal in the skeleton, but it is rather dull to watch. Any ice hockey match featuring Canada!
C&T
And I miss most of it as out all day... Can't wait for the weekend where I can have it on all day!
chelsea
Anja Paerson - for even starting yesterday's combined, let alone getting a bronze, after her huge crash in the downhill. Goodness can't believe that she competed again after that - that crash was
ubereglu
I'd like a good highlights programme too. I went to bed before it got onto Skeleton Bob, as it was so late!
Valkyrie
Murray and Erin have been enjoying it - can hear the ooooh's and ahhh's as there are near misses or someone falls. I did see Mr Wescott win his gold medal though - mainly by accident.
Cinnamon
Sports are so not my thing, but I love the grace & power of speed skating. The tight outfits are pretty nice too

docsquid
Anyone know when the Ice Skating is on? Pairs and Men's has already been and gone. Ice Dance starts tonight. Definitely one for Virgin/Sky+ though as it is on very late.

ubereglu
Me too. I'm so glad she won! If I was Shelley Rudman I would have been really annoyed, because each run she was getting faster and faster and I seriously think if she'd been given a few more practice runs she would have got on the podium.
