Hi guys - feeling hungry after catching up with last nights postings! As usual we had chicken in yellow bean sauce with egg fried rice. I also like (and now have to share with Murray) deep fried squid in a light batter with some sweet and sour sauce to dunk it all in.

 

Have had a stonking headache from the early hours, but it's easing off now I attacked the paracetamol - it was affecting my eyes. Perhaps it's atmospherics. I thought a tree was on fire across the road, but it's the sun being rainbowed in the water. We've had torrential rain with sun in between. Have already thrown back the broken branches from next door's tree that are all over our drive - again.

 

@ Phil - poor Debs I should have reminded you about taking a cushion.

3 lovely people (so only a small one), but it went really well, loads of questions asked, and they seemed to enjoy themselves. I asked them to give feedback, so we shall see if they do

 

I feel marvellous today, so that is a big advantage of not having the sedation yesterday

 

I have some friends coming over soon with their little ones (will have 5 children and 6-8 adults calling) so I have left some of the hen party stuff out to show the little ones, and I made extra cakes this morning

Mothers friend from work had rats last week and his wife said the chucks had to go - 4 ducks, a drake and 8/10 banties ... think they're gone now though, but will ask.

If not I might see if we can go to the farm tomorrow

 

Nugget always slept under Pox on the roosting bars - just been up to give her a check + fuss and she's flat as a pancake in the nesting box, to keep warm I assume. I think she is lonely and probably a bit in shock, but I know they don't have the same emotions as we do.

Went to costa then shopping ... for the 3rd time today

 

Got 2 new pairs of jeans out of it .... don't think father could say no, and I normally hate clothes shopping.

 

We went to buy a birthday present for chickeny aunt's grandson who's 3 tomorrow (aunt is my nans sister, so he's my second cousin or something - keeping up? )

... anyway, they were in the same shop

 

"Lewis!!" ... he ran over and gave me a hug, then proceeded to make me play catch in the middle of the shop - cheered me up for a bit

awwww I have been thinking about you I read on the other thread in chickens that your going out tomorrow to look for a bantee? bless your heart, I would do exactly the same.

We'll see, they're sometimes a bit funny selling single pure breeds, because they get stuck with a load of cockerels so try and sell trios - hopefully they'll let me

 

Not really bothered about what she is either, so hopefully can have a look in one of the stables and find one. Its normally choose your own for £5, but they could be any breed or a mix, and they don't guarantee the sex

We'll see

 

Trying to stay positive ... hard to never know what colour eggs Purkinje would have layed

 

Debs, I know ... will they have any left though? ... and we're meant to be going to cousins birthday
