Didn't sow anything this weekend, but we cleared an island bed, fenced it off (see girls fume) and planted 5 blackcurrant bushes - now have loads of room to plant more fruit. chickencam
Lots of peas some for pods and some for shoots. Potted on some celeriac plants Planted onions at the allotment on Friday Bought 9 tomato plants and 6 pepper plants on Saturday, now all potted on and looking good. some salad leaves and baby carrots from the BBC Dig In free seeds. We are hoping to get down to the allotment late this afternoon to do some spuds. I also potted on the cuttings of my hardy fuscia that have been on the kitchen window ledge all winter and my variagated busy lizzy cuttings too. They are outside now, so will have to take the chances with the chilly nights. I can;t put them in the greenhouse because they had a bit of white fly I have sprayed them but don't want to take any chances with my new toms. Found a several bulbs of garlic I must have missed last year and are now looking like spring onions, so lifted and divided and replanted those ! Guest
I sowed some swiss chard (bright lights) and ramsons wild garlic seeds today. the chard is in a big pot and i can't wait for the rainbow of colours to appear. I planted the wild garlic around the wood pile at the bottom of the garden as it likes damp conditions and it will just carry on seeding itself once established.
