OH and I often (yes we need to get out more) wonder if our cats could talk how they would sound. My ginger tom would have a gravelly East End voice like Bob hoskins. All "ello darlin" and all that. My tabby would be a Margo Leadbetter - all prim and proper and a bit anal!!! Our remaining rabbit - not sure I think hes a thinker so will have to think about that one. What about yours

Willoughby would be Tim Nice-but-Dim for sure. Squeaker would speak like David Walliams when he is being "a laydee!". Ozzy would have a bit of a wimpy voice - a bit like Rodney from Only Fools and Horses when he's apologising to Del-Boy for being a plonker.

 

The chooks would be like Dame Edna Everidge - CoooEEEE! Over HERE!

How bizarre, only just now at tea, prior to reading this thread, OH and I were saying that if Big Suze our Silkie could talk, she would speak in gruff tones like Vera Duckworth

OH and I have whole conversations each talking as Riley . It's no-one identifiable, just a kind of gruff voice .

i am amazed how many people humanize their animals. My OH often puts on a Cockney accent for out cat "Ello darlin fancy a night owt" the boys crack up. How sad are we?

I have one who does that too, if I call 'squirrel' at her, then she points and races off after it.

Well when Cookie talks she sounds just like Chewbacca from Star Wars so thats her sorted but with a girlie twang. Sophie I think would be a snotty woman's voice as she is a bit of a grumpy stuck up old girl. Dave is half Siamese so it would have to be a voice where someone is pretending to be chinese but talks in very loud, short bursts as this is what he does he talks to us anyway.

 

I always think of Butch as talking like Vera Duckworth or perhaps one of Les Dawson's pinafore women

We talk for our cats all the time Scamp has a deep simple kind of voice and ziggy has a very posh spoilt kind of voice. We all do it.

Our Jack is very much "a night out with the lads" type and usually on a Friday or Saturday when he wants to go out late, we will say "Oh, so you think you're going to the pub do you" or " no karaoke for you tonight laddy" whereas Max is much more of a discerning character and would only wish to mix "in the right circles" consequently our comments are usually something like "yes of course sir, anything you like. Just ring the bell"

I can't believe I'm admitting to this to you all I'm certainly not going to tell you how we talk to the dogs
