hi could anyone tell me if the egg i have had today is some sort of record, it weighs 170g and it is massive

Thats amazing That pic in the other thread of somebody holding the egg shows how unbelievably big it is really well. To put it in context I had a goose egg the other day which weighed 189g. Is your hen OK?

from limited googling and unofficial reports, there are claims between 201g-207g but they aren't logged by the Guinness Book of Records, so who knows. but the 201g was in China, and the 207 in the UK I believe. Poor Chooks
