Was a really good weekend Both looked good, everything went to plan + was a perfect day for them

It started raining once we were in the marquee, which was fine. There was 1 drunk girl at 2.30 am - but most people had gone to bed (obviously not me ), she fell into a bush by her room - short of it was she was a bit out of it and sick so they called an ambulance. The newly weds didn't find out so was fine

Was talking chickens to a friend yesterday and she is going to some + see ours and wants to get some ex-batts or for me to hatch some more. I said it might be best to get hybrids to start off with

... maybe just another 12 I'm working on not all being fertile, hatching and being girls. 1 girl from 12 eggs last hatch

and someone is getting rid of her cockerel and so wants 12 eggs hatched so she can still have babies ... if you insist ... will be picked up day after hatching so I'm not counting them as mine - can use the tank brooder, or the wooden one I used last time.

yes it needed painting, a new roof and base and obviously re felting...

My OH can take a perfectly good shed and make it look a mess - easy peasy

I would love a shed, I just have one of those benchs where the seat lifts up and keep most stuff in there although various tubs and things are finding there way to the top of the nest box

I keep feed and bedding in OHs shed, although its like a black hole in there

I've been run building up the field, the growers now have a run to move in to

 

The dog was freezing cold and whinging to come home - its normally me that tires first

 

I bought a ark off ebay last weekend and have been adding weldmesh to it over the chicken mesh so thats another home ready for chooks

 

That shed is fab Cooks, my first thought was 'you'd get two brooders side by side on that shelf'
