Hilary and the nearly 2 week old chicks had a visit to the WIR yesterday...

 

They were scratching around in the aubiose, then running to her when she found something for them

 

 

Cilla + the ducks had to come and have a nose at what was going on too!

They were bought (surprise birthday present) as Aylesburys, but don't look big enough to me, so could be

I agree they do look quite small for aylesbury's as my friend had some and they were huge with much fuller chests but they could well be!!

 

They are gorgeous nonetheless and what a fantastic birthday present!!

She'll probably be with the chicks for another month or so, and then go home

 

The chicks, the little one is a Lavender pekin (frizzle)

the black one is a Welsummer x Maran,

and the other is a Welsummer x

The cockerels + 2 welsummers will be raised for the table, and 'cos the fox came a while back the others will be kept
