chick wiggle
My silkie Sweetpea seems to have a problem maybe with her balance. She sort of nods her head and it seems to go to one side when she bends down to eat and almost misses what she was going for. She stumbles and nearly falls over too. She clacks her beak too, when shes eating and sometimes when shes not. I wormed her a month ago so hopefully its not that, i was thinking an infection of some sort? Any ideas anyone? Redwing
I'd say ears too sounds like some drops are needed
chick wiggle
Vets it is then, do they give you drops for her ears or to give orally?
chick wiggle
Well, i took Sweetpea to the vets this morning and she thinks its an infection causing swelling of the brain She has given her antibiotics and anti inflamortorys and i have to give her them for 5 days. Shes really not looking good today. I have seperated her and given her mash and pellets in extra wide dishes so hopefully whereever her head lands there will be food there. Im just hoping she makes it through the night

chick wiggle
Thanks everyone, well what a relief, shes made it through the night! Still not out of the woods yet though, she still has very little control over her head. I gave her some mash and dry pellets this morning and shes tucked in best she can. So just need the meds to work their magic now

chick wiggle
Well although she didnt bounce out of the eglu, amazingly she is still with us. She felt very damp though so i have brought her into the house. i have given her weetabix and chick crumb with poultry spice, she must of had about half a teaspoon of food and also some water with lifeguard in it. She seems to be fighting this with all her little might, so im not giving up on her now! Thanks for you good vibes guys, so far they seem to be working.
