Snowy
Is this a record? Came home from work to find OH had got the barbie out! It's been a glorious day, the barbie was delicious and we sat in the sun on the patio drinking beer........ Summer's arrived!

gooner.girl
Well i wore shorts for the first time today (other then for playing football or for athletics) so Summer must be here!!! I walked the dog in jeans and t-shirt and got so boiling hot that i came back and changed into shorts and halterneck top! It's OH's birthday today and it often seems that his birthday brings the nice weather with it!

gooner.girl
happy birthday Mr gooner girl !! going out for slap up meal Helen? I did think about the slap up meal idea! Then I decided to cook! Except, i couldn't figure out how to time the potato waffles to cook with the chicken and bacon lattice so he ended up doing it! (and he's been at work all day whilst i've been lazing at home! ) Poor boy!

chelsea
what delicious treats did you scoff? Does Mr Snowy do all the BBQ cooking or do you help? I dont let OH anywhere near food of any form whether it be kitchen or outdoor as we would get burnt offerings.

gooner.girl
oh and your nearly at 1000 posts snowy! You'll soon be a chatty chicken! Hehe! I'm going to beat Snowy to it!!! I'm going over to the football thread as i feel that is the right place for my 1000th post! I don't want to be a chatty chicken though - i like being an all knowing super chicken - it makes me feel very wise!
Snowy
Afraid I have to help Chelsea - his idea of a barbie is a heap of charcoaled meat I have to supervise, restrict the amount cooked (he'd cook everything in the fridge if I didn't) and provide a bit of greenery to balance things out. Was very nice though - lovely fat sausages and burgers from the local butcher and pork steaks coated in chinese 5 spice seasoning. Plus large olives stuffed with feta cheese; chillis stuffed with cream cheese and a green salad.

chelsea
Sounds scrummy Snowy...making me drool. Why oh why are all men the same....(cooking the entire fridge contents) thats exactly what mine would do - given the chance. I like the way you have to "supervise"....sounds so much like me Helen - didnt notice you were on 999 posts
theherd123
1st BBQ - did i read that right?? Mind you it was a smashing day and what a sunset driving home from a meal out and it was just gorgeous - deep purple, dark pink fading to a soft blue - what a view. Guest
Lovely day here - didn't have a BBQ, as it's packed (did I mention I was moving???! ), but the children played outside from breakfast time till bedtime, and I enjoyed a glass of wine sitting on a deckchair at dinner time! Looking forward to a long, warm summer!
Lesley
My son and his friends have year round barbecues - he didn't have one last night as he was puppy sitting for us and we were at the beekeeping course. The weather today is supposed to be as good so no doubt all the barbecues will be out?
Cinnamon
We have decided to forego our Easter Sunday Ham & have a Barbeque instead I have just bought some lovely organic beef mince to make burgers & sent The Hubby off to stock up on charcoal The fridge is full of Rose wine & all is well with the world
