Chicken boarders

I have a spare coop, so Dads taking me to collect three Polands on sunday. I'm so excited!

 

But i'm a bit worried because i've never had this breed before. I know that they can get bullied because of there eye sight, and aren't very hardy, and in this weather i'd like them to be as cosy as possible.

 

They are going to be about 15 weeks, and will be bedded on shavings, with a covered run.

 

Now do i need to give them anything elts to keep them cosy? A hot water bottle? I will be giving them porridge (daily routine ) in the mornings to help them stay warmer. .

No advice Mollie as I've no experience of these lovely birds. Just wanted to say lucky you, what a fab Dad you must have, and good luck with them. I'm sure you'll do a really good job. Alli x

If they are going to be living with other birds then do keep a close eye on them for bullying. Its best to let them drink from a narrow lipped drinker so they aren't always getting a wet hairdo. Otherwise, enjoy them

Only decided to get the two Blue Frizzle Polish, they are adorable!

Lucky you. Are their head hairdos frizzled? How old?

There Point Of Lay, they were in with a rather active cockerel, so there head is a bit pecked. Will heal with some TLC though!
