Egluntyne
Have just been all the way over to Handforth to worship at the altar of Lakeland, to be told in conversation with the cashier, that there is a new store at Meadowhell here in Sheffield!! I did meet up with my sister, who lives over the Pennines though so not a wasted journey. They have some lovely Christmas stuff there. Charlottechicken
I'm pleased in a way that we don't yet have one in Birmingham! I remember visiting the Lakeland Plastics stand at the Malton show in the late 1970's. My aunt used to buy a lot of their stuff, and I have inherited a couple of the blue freezer trays from back then
Lesley
but there is one just down the road in Stratford Claire! - short trip on the train..... I think I'd rather travel to Handforth than visit Meadowhell Egluntyne

Snowy
I've been drooling over some of the gifts in their christmas catalogue - some very nice looking and reasonably priced hampery type things!
chicken bark
You lot are cruel. I have been purposefully deleting Lakeland emails as soon as they arrive so I can't be tempted and now you post links on here! That purse is lovely and I am really cold at the moment so the snuggly wheat bag would be a treat.... Grrrr. I'd been doing so well at resisting too. I should do what you do.........it would be better for me . Plum...........I love that little birdie purse , very cute.
Omletina Kyckling
Think I might pop up on friday or monday and look. Meadowhell can't be that bad on a weekday ............................................... I was there last Wednesday and it was truly hell on earth. Me and SIL went into Lakeland when we first arrived (we parked by M&S) and picked out a few things we "needed"......but the queues were really long so we decided to look around Meadowhell first then go back to Lakeland......when we got back we had to pretty much queue to get into the place, then saw the queues for checkouts which must have had 30-40 people in them and we just turned on our heels and came away empty handed! I couldn't believe how busy it was generally. The Pandora beads shop had a queue of about 20 people outside the shop!! Perhaps people are doing their Christmas shopping, but this was amazing. Good luck with it Plum!!
