Is that a Vorwerk I spy. MIne is refusing to walk on the ice so is flying between soil patches-lol

Yes indeed and a few minutes after that picture was taken my vorwerks cockerel joined them.

They do fly very well don't they :lol:

I haven't bothered clipping them as it makes absolutely nooooooooooooooo difference.

Check out my sig  I've posted before about how high she could fly. Although since she's got older and we've put netting up all around the garden walls she no longer flies up just lengthwise sometimes.

We have had weird weather here today, it has been bright and sunny most of the day but with big snowflakes floating down, nothing really settled and it hasn't got above -1 all day but it seems warmer than yesterday's -4, small mercys

Same here Liz. -1.6deg at the moment, but it feels much colder.

Clear skies, so watch out for those Geminid meteor showers.

One of our Doctors out on a visit saw a patient who is renowned for inappropriate dressing - in a boob tube and mini skirt - no coat - and the temp was a tropical -1!! She is on the er larger side too so very inappropriate - cant see point of boob tubes myself (no boobs so thats a prob to start with) they always seem to fall down.

Goodness plus temperatures up here for a change and melting in front of your eyes - streets hazardous due to icicles falling off roofs and snow ! -= water everywhere already - hope it goes for a while too though - yeha

By the way my hens always moult in the coldest weather up here and when they have no feathers its minus 10!

My oldest hen is five years old and moulting  She has almost got a new coat of feathers now though, when the freeze started she was almost naked!

My boiler packed up this morning  I woke and there was no ticking of pipes noise :( . I've got hot water but no heating. I'm home early and have the woodburner and the open fire lit now. Thankfully it is now just about freezing here so it feels considerably warmer than previously

We are plus 4 degrees - we were plus all day yesterday so you can imagine the water that is now accumulating on top of melting snow! - its really soggy but the white stuff is disappearing fast - everyone says it will be back next week but we dont need frost on top just yet or it would be a complete nightmare. I am off to ireland tomorrow to visit till tuesday with my daughter and family and cuddles for my grandson before xmas so was hoping for a thaw - praying it stays till next tuesday at least! Wonderful without the frost.
