Bendy buses are scary, I almost got squashed by one the other day, my camera was on, so I made this video

golly!

Yup, they are scary; Phil often cycles around London and has had a couple of near misses as well.

Take care Fred!

[clootie]

Blimey!

Great idea having the camera Fred.

[Lavenders_Blue]

Crikey, that was a bit close!

[MummyHen]

OMG!

You are very brave to cycle in London; but IMHO absolute madness

Why madness - because of the other idiots on the road - as your videos show

BTW great videos - I hope I don't see my car reg on your channel

[Couperwife]

wow Fred, please be careful...as others say its not you...its them.

[DebC]

Wow that was close. It it some sort of special camera that you have on your bike?

[Geoid]

Its normal ones too, this bus passed extremely closely, as you can see in this video. I was shaking the time I got to my destination.

[Plum]

Get off that bike Fred I just can't sleep after seeing that.

[Charlottechicken]

Blimey, he didn't give you any space at all, he's driving like you just aren't there

[A chickychickychick-ENN!!]

www.tfl.gov.uk.

You have a time, date and reg plate. Report him to tfl and/or police before he kills someone! Glad you're ok.

[Geoid]

I have reported the second incident to Transport for London, and I await their reply.

[chick wiggle]

You took the words out of my mouth Chickychickychicken, that was disgustingly close and he needs reprimanding for that! Take care Fred !

[Geoid]

Cycling home just now, going past a junction, car turning right out of said junction which was on the other side of the road, and doesn't stop until his bumper is almost touching my front wheel. Then acts like he did nothing wrong when I start to yell. Video will be uploaded soonish, watch this space.

Edit: I will be reporting this driver to the police, his driving was shameful!

[The Dogmother]

you need a name and shame website Fred!

[Geoid]

The driver has now been reported to the police.

[The Dogmother]

Great I feel a campaign coming on!

[Seagazer]

I hope they actually do something about those drivers. Having been on the back of OH's motorbike I know just how many bad drivers there are out there.

I can't believe those buses drive so close to you, shocking.

[jlo]

I hope that something gets done about those drivers - I do have a name for them but this is a family forum! More importantly - stay safe Fred!

[Cranfield Kate]

I cycle everywhere and my heart is in my throat sometimes. yesterday on the bricklayers arms roundabout at the top of the old kent road I got overtaken, beeped at and then cut up by a car. WHYYYYYYY couldn't he just slow down for a nano second and then gone inside me which is where his lane was??

people just waon't slow down and risk being, oooooh, half a millisecond later.

having said all this pedestrians are worst by far. they leap out on front of me and when it's raining and they have their brollly low they have a deathwish.

[Geoid]

Peds are sometimes a bit crazy, one who looked carefully to the left, and steps out, not bothering to look both ways, good thing im quick on the brakes.
