miffy
My 2lb loaf tins are used at least twice a week in the aga. The last tins I bought about 18months ago in Lakeland they have been ok but are now leaving silver stuff on the bread so I guess they need replacing. Can you recommend any particular types or brands please?
bigmommasally
I'd take them back to Lakeland, anything they sell has a lifetime guarantee. If it doesn't last as long as you would expect they will offer you a full refund or exchange. You don't need your original receipt either. I personally don't think that 18 months is anywhere near long enough for the tins to last, not when you consider my mum has some still going strong from the 1950's and some of my non stick sponge tins are from when I got married in 1982. Chucky Mama
I don't know if **THIS** is any good. I have just bought a baking tray and a cake tin in this range and they are awesome - I don't know if this tin is big/small enough for you. miffy
dont think I will get non stick again...not a big fan anyway to be honest. The spray oil does the trick. Not sure I could take it back to Lakeland... as I have no proof of purchase..and I paid cash... still never mind I am now reconciled to buying new ones......like the look of the annodised aluminium ones.... chickencam
The Pyrex metal ones are fantastic I have had 2 for several years now and they get used at least 3 times a week, I have never had to grease or wash them, the loaves just slip out, they are still as good as new. The ones that I have got make large supermarker bakery sized loaves.
C&T
My grans old metal tins always produce great loaves, and never stick. I don't want to think about how old they are...! While love my non-stick patty tins etc, not sure I would bother with non-stick Loaf tins, unless I was planning to use them for other things (like cakes) a lot? Valkyrie
My favourite loaf tin is made by Prestige, but I think they've changed the style and metal a bit. Mine is around 26 years old now! I have other loaf tins and they are OK (I think John Lewis but not sure) but not as good as the Prestige.
wiltshiremum
I am thinking of buying a stoneware one tonight as I am going to a Pampered Chef home selling party. I already use a lot of their stoneware products and think they are fab! Yes they are more expensive but I love my stoneware - it cooks so well for all sorts of things. Don't use metal tins in my oven anymore! Does anyone else cook with stone? Does anyone have a loaf pan and what do you think of it before I part with my cash?! LJ's Chooks
yep I'd go for a stone one from pampered chef everytime, their stuff is fab and i've been using it successfully for years! I went to a party last night and have finally buckled and agreed to have a party in may!!! Their stuff is not cheap admittedly, but it lasts for years and really is worth the investment. bluekarin
Their stuff is not cheap admittedly, but it lasts for years and really is worth the investment. Unless you drop it I had a small rectangular stoneware baking tray which I got free for ordering over a certain amount (it was a joint order with my mum. I loved it for doing sausages on as it was a perfect size and they would go all gooey and sticky. But I dropped it and it broke
LJ's Chooks
If you kept a piece of it they would have replaced it free of charge! Normally very good service on this even years after initial purchase or gift date.

Even in my drawers of bits and bobs I don't think I would have a bit left
