Healthy Eating Chat Part 2

Recommended Posts

Well I've last just over half a stone since I started. Really :D I have been really strict thou' so it's unlikely that I will maintain this. I need to lose about another 10lbs. I really hope I can do this without losing momentum. Well done everyone else - be really proud of your achievements :D

Well I can heartily recommend a general anaesthetic and hysterectomy as a form of extreme weight loss. I've lost 7 lbs since this time last week  But can only get extra large, stretchy clothes on at the moment so not seeing any benefit yet! Will be interesting to see if it stays off!

Um that's a bit extreme, Snowy. No more choccies for you to maintain it. :P:wink::lol: I can definitely say that having your hair all chopped off doesn't make much difference at all! Quite miffed I was! :boohoo: But I've been swimming 3 times this month. The first time was just after the flu/cold thing so I only did the mile, last week was 100 lengths but I was quite slow. Today was 106 in 1hr 20mins, so speeding up again. Weight is just below the 16stone so although it went up a bit over Christmas it went back down and maintained the 16 marker. Now to lose another half stone by March - and if more goes then whoohoo! DD said "your bum looks smaller" yesterday so I'm well chuffed.

Still under 16 but hard to tell whether it's 1 or 2lb. Have started up our walks again and we went for a long walk the previous Saturday - rain made us cut it a bit short but we were still walking for 2 hours, it was the mud on the boots that was the biggest problem, and I must get new waterproofs. Then I went for a walk around the village during the week and my swimming on the Thursday - much better, 106 lengths in 1hr 20. Saturday walk was was bitterly cold so we only did a short one) and saw an egret that refused to stay still for a photo and a bullfinch and lots of trout in the stream. My tummy seems to have developed dimples on each side. The Michelin woman is deflating!!!

I've been discharged by my GP :clap:

I was prescribed Weight Watchers and Gym membership in May 2010 due to Obesity (16st 6lbs) and High Cholestral (7.9) BMI 34.

I've been having monthly weigh-ins and Cholestral tests at the GP's and today I was told that I don't need to return for one year.

Weight today 12st 12lbs 50 (FIFTY lbs off)

Waist today 33, started at 40

Collar today 15.5 started at 18 (sleeves now fit !!!!)

Cholestral today 4.6

BMI 26 (slightly high, recommended 25)

On Sunday 20th Febuary I am entered into a 5 mile "Santa Race" (postponed from Christmas) which I'm hoping to complete in under 40 minutes.

Having a big celebration tomorrow at Wolves v Man Utd, planning to use my 39 daily propoints and 49 weekly propoints on a combination of Stella and Large Chablis' (old habits  ) and if we beat United I may even have a Balti Pie.

Feeling a bit stuck - stupidly busy & thus stupidly over tired most of the time atm, which doesn't encourage sensible eating but the really irritating thing is that I am locked out of my WW online account....Asked them to resend my password just in case I'd made a mistake there - but I was right.....but STILL couldn't get online and then when I followed the extra special emergency log on help they wouldn't believe my post code so wouldn't let me post a query...This has been the situation for almost 2 weeks now so I am paying for a service I'm not actually able to get and rather grumpy as a result.

I have, though, lost a stone so far since I began the campaign. Just cross with WW

I've gained 2 lbs  I'm going to sit in the naughty corner

I'll keep you company Griffin. I've been adding pounds since November.

I go to WW weigh ins on a Tuesday, but I don't track. Tracking really does help.

Overall I've lost 10 lbs but I had lost 16 lbs at one stage.

I would like to lose 1 stone from where I am now.

Congratulations Clash

I'm going to print off your post above - my GP and/or Practice Nurse won't let me have frequent cholesterol tests to see if anything will make a difference (I have FH version of high cholesterol so diet doesn't change it much) and as I'm back on Statins, which I want to come off, they no longer even do an annual test  The plan seems to get you onto Statins, test 3 months later and as long as cholesterol is lower then you are on Statins for life.......and I don't want to be on them for life :(

Really struggling this week, I want to eat everything in sight. Maybe I've got worms  I feel like I've been stuck around the same weight for weeks now. Ten days before Christmas I was 15st 5lbs and I tried really hard to reach my 10% weight loss weight of 15st 3lbs but then our last meeting of the year was cancelled due to the weather so I never knew if I reached it. I put on 3.5lbs over Christmas so started the year on 15st 8.5lbs. In two weeks I lost 4lbs to make it 15st 4.5lbs and the following week was really hopeful of hitting the magic 15st 3lbs but only lost a pound  However, according to WW online that was enough to get my 10% :? It dropped me a point for my daily allowance too. I tracked religiously yet still managed to gain 2lbs to take me to 15st 5.5lbs so more or less where I was way back in December :wall:

It's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrdddddddddddddddddddd

It's my birthday next Saturday and I plan to eat all of my favourite things just for one day but I know the guilt will make me feel really bad though

Woe
