Ruby after being missing for 4 months is now back in the garden where she belongs she was being kept in the chip shop garden only got her back by chance after hearing that a neighbour had a chicken walk in her house she thought it was the man at the chippy's and gave it to him as soon as I found out I went and retrieved her it doesnt seem real but yes its great news

thanks everyone it is great been out in the garden this morning she was following me round gave them all some treats will have to try the chips as suggested

Four months is a long time in the life of a little hen ... I'm very curious, did she recognise her flockmates and them her? Will she fit back in straightaway, or will you have to re-introduce her from scratch?

when i first put her in the others came for a good look had a bit of a tussle with one of the silkies and the cockerel had to do his little dance of course but they didnt no her before like the others did and they were all fine she got to the coop fine and roosted with the others when we had her before she was top bird so we will have to see how she gets on trying to get her old position back

update she is doing really well not top of the pack yet she is laying me lots of lovely eggs will have to get some in the incubator cus she is a awsome chicken and would love to replacate her
