Right before my eyes - Avatar issues

I am trying to download from my photos file and it says to leave the size blank but, every time I try and download 'webpage not available' comes up! :wall: Off to bed now with something hot and chocolaty! :P

What do you mean by 'my photos file' ?

Fred....the My Photos file is on my laptop. I click on the appropriate link and it takes me to My Photos and I click on the one to add as avatar and then it shows on the space on the Omlet page as Jp whatever so I click ..can't remember if its reset or submit and then it whirs away and tells me that the web page is unavailable, I groan and swear a bit and then give up! :oops::roll::?

 

Go on...tell me what a dingbat I am :D

It is probably too big. You need to find a way of reducing it to fewer than 80 x 80 pixels. There are ptogrammes out there that you can use free of charge.

Luckychickenlover, I think it must be a Jpeg as it says JP followed by a number! I havn't done anything about the size as the instructions say leave it balnk and it'll size itself! :lol:

 

OH is in for a treat tonight; been away since early hours of Monday and back tonight to an IT session; at least I planted the potatoes, beans and lettuce!!!!! :angel: Maybe I should just stick to gardening! :?

:D Jp and the numbers is the name of the file, although you're probably right about it being a Jpeg.

 

If you go to My documents/ the location of your file, then right click on it and go to 'Properties', what does it say it's size is?

Nope! Still saying 'web page unavailable' referring to Omlet avatar set up thingy so maybe its not me after all!!! :P

 

It's probably something to do with the issues the forum is having at the moment. Try again when it's fixed, probably in a few days.

Do you want to put that in your signature? It's basically the same, but will mean that you don't have to type all of that out every time you make a post. Go to "User Control Panel" on the top left of any page, then "Profile", "Edit Signature". Then you can type out the names of your chickens etc and submit it the same way you submit posts.

Yeah you have to remember them and just write them in :wall:

 

Why don't you go to one of your posts, click "Edit post", then copy and paste it?
