Who is watching Eurovision tonight?

Recommended Posts

Loved Moldova 8)

Were all the microphones plugged in for Blue? Sounded very weak in the vocal department.

Germany, interesting, now I know where that Diane Vickers got her singing style from. Think they would've stood a better chance with Rammstein!

I thought Jedward was very catchy, they did well.

Is Spain in the running to win? It was a catchy Europop tune.

Georgia was a cross between Christine Bleakley and Linkin Park  But thank goodness someone was a bit loud.

Thank goodness for the oddball acts, without them it would be so boring!

It's so annoying isn't it? B & H and Greece were awful IMO yet came so high up the board.

Hubby is very happy as he liked the winners (can't be bothered to type the country). I'm gutted Denmark didn't come higher but well done to Blue and Jedward.

My husband has a couple of whiskeys inside him now so is starting to rant about political voting

I am happy as I had the winner and the UK to finish between 9th and 12 place :D Shame the winning female singer screamed so much that she couldn't sing at the end, it sounded dreadful

We all settled down to watch it with some vino, watched upto song 21 and then my mum rang me and I was talking to her until just after it had finished. The rest of the family were in the lounge wooping and having a great time. I watched with the sound off in the kitchen. We all wanted Moldova to win, didn't like the winning song at all, Denmark were my second favourites.

What was interesting though is that during the break whilst the votes were being counted, Azerbaijan suddenly shot to favouritism with the bookies. One has to wonder how they knew? The song was dire and as Charlotte chicken quite rightly pointed out, forgetable. One of the most unremarkable songs of the night yet suddenly it was the favourite :?

Usual tripe - I stopped watching after Cliff Richard or Brotherhood of Man won all those yrs ago. Best things the Swedish produced was Abba - we watched the scoring and noted all the East Europeans voted for each other. No one likes the UK. Had to laugh when Graham Norton told the French off by saying we built a tunnel to your country.

I may vote for Moldova just for the unique hat choice :D

:lol: Me too! I just want to know how they kept them on!

Me too! I loved the horn-playing, unicycling, white-frocked fairy bombing around  I'd love one of their hats! I'd turn it upside down, put chains on it, plant up some annuals and bingo - Modlovian hanging baskets!

PS Well done Jedward

I backed them as soon as I heard it and watched the market going up and down for a lot of countries I got them at 11/4. Ireland for instance moved a lot as did the UK during the first half of the voting. I watched Moldova go from 150/1 to 80/1 as soon as they sang and they were at 12/1 at times. I backed them as it was reasonable and also because of which countries would favour them. Still can't believe France were the favourites to start with. I wanted to back Italy each way at 150/1 when I heard them but they stopped each way betting. I ended up putting 20p on them to win so missed out. We always bet with political voting in mind. We have so few allies, I can't see us winning anytime soon :( We only did as well as we did this year because Blue are big in Europe. A bit like the Swedish chap who did well.

Did anyone see the moment when the Danish chap said something very rude when they got 12 points. He obviously got a real telling off before the cameras visited him the next time they got 12 points
