Following my post in the chicken forum: May I introduce my new Girls........

I thought I would post some photo's of my W.I.R. I designed and built it myself using 16g weldmesh and tanalised timber with a polycarbonate corrugated roof.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was a big project for me but I am very pleased with the result and now feel totaly confident that Mr fox will go away hungry if he should venture into my garden again.

Thanks very much for all your comments, it's great getting such positive feedback from your peers.

I have included a few more pics which I hope you like.

 

Because of restricted access to the back of the garden after building the run, I also installed double doors at the rear of the run for better access should I need it.

 

 

Same again on the right side of the run which is next to the garage.

 

 

I built this platform for my girls out of s"Ooops, word censored!" wood left from the project using a spare set of roosting bars and they love jumping up and looking around.

 

 

I couldn't resist this sign when I saw it at the "Grand Designs" show.

 

 

Also spotted these mice (3 of them) at same show made out of old oil drums from Kenya
