Redwing
Like we dont have enough on our plates at the moment hubby decided he wanted a goat These two have joined our rag tag bunch today, brother and sister The male is Dave and the female (the all black one) hasnt got a name yet They are getting on well with the lambs, the triplet lambs sadly lost their mum yesterday so we are hoping they will bond and be safer in a larger group Here are the lambs (- why are all of our animals and birds black and white??) Daphne
Lovely We saw a lady taking 3 goats for a walk on a lead last week I've always wanted goats, purely to make cheese, although I am slightly wary of them since OH's sister got chased by one whilst out running! Redwing
We have three other lambs mostly white - those are the ones that were born first. They also lost their mum, things have been tricky here this spring
scarlettohara
I remember you telling me that a sheep's aim in life was to die I hope Dave and Geraldine (just to me anyway ) will be more robust
Lesley
We lost a sheep today as well - they certainly do only have one aim in life Lovely goats - check OH's car if we come to visit.....he's always on about having goats

Lewis
Very cute Used to love taking the goat kids for walks at the farm They know exactly where they're going so would pull all the way to the climbing frame then if you let go on the way back they'd run straight to their run! Can't wait to meet them!
The Dogmother
They are lovely Tasha, sorry to hear about the ewe though. I once had solely black and white pets too
craftyhunnypie
Awwwww congratulations! Do not let my hubby see those! Are the full sized goats or Pygmy? We have spoken to various people lately who say their goats are great escapologists! They were all full sized goats though, rather than Pygmy. Perhaps the small sort wouldn't escape as much (I hope). Wouldn't want the hubby chasing round after goats - would look funny! Emma.x
Lewis
I think its all goats that are escapologists, including pygmy They love climbing and will eat everything and anything, hopefully any weeds in the field!
Plum
Wow Tasha, that's going to keep the OH busy. I am so jealous of your fabulous farm/zoo/managerie. Sorry to hear about your rotten luck with the ewes

craftyhunnypie
Do you name your goats & have they escaped yet? Will be interested to see the fencing & type of enclosure for them. What do you have planned for your lovely zoo next? Emma.x
