Leicester_H
Apparently there was a eglu on last night. I watched most of the programme but didn't notice it - anyone see it? Can see on iPlayer http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0133hl7/Dragons_Den_Series_9_Episode_1/ H
Sam
Noo it was an Egglu (nothing to do with an eglu) Hmm, just look out for the man with the toilet.... I'm not explaining what it does
Egluntyne
Gosh. That name is a bit close for comfort.
Lavenders_Blue
Gosh. That name is a bit close for comfort. I thought that too, I did wonder how he was planning to get away with using that name. I don't think spelling 'egglu' with an extra 'G' would be sufficiently different for Omlet not to be a bit cross about it!
Sam
Egglu is at 16minutes I know what you mean, very close!
Egluntyne
I've emailed HQ about it.

Sam
I've emailed HQ about it. They updated their twitter about it this morning. The Egglu on Dragon's Den last night - nothing to do with us! What a surprise!
Cinnamon
Its on their Facebook feed too
chickencam
Sounds like a passing off case to me, I can't see Omlet letting it lie
WitchHazel
It's not uncommon for same or similar names to be used for different products - Dove soap and Dove chocolate are made by two entirely different companies. It's only really an issue if they are similar products. You can see why the chap has called his product Egglu (or Eggloo, I'm not sure how he's spelling it). His product is egg shaped and it goes in a loo.
clootie
Bloomin awful product ... I mean, who would want to oik that out of the loo and clean it ...... bleh
Tutti Frutti
Is there much Omlet can do - have they trademarked the name? The toilet Egglu is used in a completely different product area, much as Polo can be a mint or a Volkswagen - although Eggloo would have been more appropriate. But I agree, yuk subject and I actually couldn't watch anymore when he put banana down the loo and flushed it :vom:
..lay a little egg for me
Oh bother, missed the programme, is it being repeated? What is the new Dragon like?

Chucky Mama
What is the new Dragon like? Answer: Dragon like! I quite liked her despite her fearsome appearance. Did she appear in Secret Millionaire or am I imagining it

craftyhunnypie
I thought Hilary was fab! A voice a bit like a bloke crossed with Deirdre Barlow - but she is good & down to earth! The toilet man was spelling it Eggloo. I did laugh at his pitch & demo with the banana! Emma.x
chicken bark
I'm going to have to change my username. On other forums it is egglou. Bit too close for comfort for me too. Don't want folk to associate me with toilets.
Seagazer
I must admit I did turn to hubby and say 'he can't use that name'. Not sure at all about the new dragon. I do wish she'd sit up straight and put her head up. She reminds me of a vulture, sitting with her head down and big shoulders. I think it will be interesting to see how she gets on as she is very straight forward. I think there will be quite a few clashes I think! Tutti Frutti
Having a few mins to kill I surfed for EGGLU and found their website here - how can they claim splashback can cause piles? And... I didn't realise the Fried Egglu is spelt with a double g - so this toilet gadget has EXACTLY the same spelling as an Omlet product
