So sad to see the death of a Red Arrows pilot. Even though they put on death defying displays they seem so invincible and for me, at least, they represent Britain at it's crazy best. Like jousting knights. RIP.

We watched them last weekend over Somerset, following the Bristol Hot Air Balloon festival...

They only went over the other week. I was in the garden at the time and whoosh. Very sad - I get so excited when I see them.

Fantastic aren't they? I remember as a little girl, seeing them at Valley Air show on Anglesey. I loved it when they made a heart shape in the sky with trails of coloured smoke. Wow! It was lovely when the flew over the Palace after the Royal Wedding. Imagine the training to be a Red Arrows pilot.

Such a shame about this sad loss.

This is the first time I have heard this news, and so very sad to hear it. I love the Red Arrows, their displays are so breathtaking and seem so effortless it's easy to forget how dangerous their job is.

My hubby said he had the choice to either use the ejector seat and hit houses, or bring the plane down somewhere safe, and is being hailed a hero. It is very sad, especially considering they had just done their show and were flying back. The skill of the pilots is incredible.

They have a fly over at the G. N. R every year. They fly over us at at the start and then have a display at the end. The heart in the sky is amazing as is all their display material. So very sad. RIP

What dreadful news. So very sad.

I live a couple of miles from the airport/crash site and watched them go into land land from my garden . I just couldn't believe that seconds later Red 4 had crashed. Thay had just performed a fantastic show of skill over the sea front.

My condolences go to all of the crew and their families.

I didn't see her on TV, but read her speech in the papers; what a brave woman The photo of their wedding day is heart breaking; she's so beautiful and they looked so happy.
