Lesley
£1.20 - they certainly did get a bargain - they should be ashamed
redfrock
considering she asked for as near to 20 as possible she did know what she was getting and she normally buys columbine eggs from waitrose (i know this because of the boxes she has given me!). Still it buys them a cabbage and a half I don't want to make a profit just hopefully pay for their cabbage each day
Hellcat
Cor, you're in a posh neighbourhood! We can get away with £1 for 6 eggs, I think if I tried to charge more I'd be laughed at. But then, I do live in a semi-rural position...
Cate in NZ
I've never sold mine. I'm probably a bit of a mug really but I gave them away to friends and family, often as a "thank you" or an unexpected gift, or to keep our neighbours sweet. We've got great neighbours and I really value their friendship and tolerance of chickens shouting out the odds when they're in the mood. AnnieP
Mine are £1 for 4 at work but I do give away too , to friends or as "thank yous".
TheGirlsMum
I only give our extras away as thank you's but we are only getting one a day at the moment so no spares here. Sorry to be a spoil sport Tina but I think you need to be careful about selling eggs on school premises (sorry about the spelling) I'm not 100% certain but I don't think you are aloud to sell raw eggs at schools. I know they get really funny about allergies etc.
Tina C
Yes I know, the old health and safety thing. But we have a great system where the teachers snap up stuff before any parents arrive and the eggs will disappear before anyone has a chance to think about it. One of the teachers lives opposite and is regular customer anyway. The only problem will be if the mum who who is fairly high up at the Food Standards Agency - and deals with stuff like bird flu - has something to say. But she knows about my chickens and is a big PTA supporter anyway. The way I see it is if anyone is concerned they won't buy them.
Nina
I think the idea of a donation pot/honesty box is great and would be something that I would consider. However, Giving the money to charity would be brill. £1 half dozen box is a reasonable bargain.

Geoid
Just don't contravene trade descriptions by describing your eggs as free-range if your hens are kept in the run most of the time: that is not free-range. Looking At answers.com it says that free range is Applied to laying hens kept at no more than 1000 birds to the hectare with free access to open air and grass during daylight. So does that mean if you keep your chickens on grass and in the run it would be ok
