grracee
As promised, some pictures of my new girls. I have noticed that they have some mud on their feet and read up beforehand that this is a problem with pekins. I will let them settle in properly first, but what's the best way of getting the mud off their feet?
Luvachicken
Awww, they are very pretty. Have you decided on any names yet ?
Chortle Chook
They are both beautiful but that millefleur pekin must be the prettiest pekin I have ever seen. Boy am I I think you should call her Maralyn because of the beauty and the curves. Then the other little one could be called 'Jackie' as in Jackie Kennedy because she is so smartly dressed and stylish Then they'd both be Kennedy girls (Or have I been watching too much TV? )
Plum
They're gorgeous . To get mud off feet I'd either soak or trim with scissors.
mollyripkim
Oh they are so beautiful, the millefleurs is gorgeous, you must be really happy. One of my silkies has very feathery feet and loves the borders so a couple of times I have just soaked her feet in a bowl of warm water, she didnt seem to mind. It wasnt dried on so came off quite easily.

LizzieLloyd
They are really gorgeous We have pekin bantham(s - one just died ) and you need to keep an eye on their feet when it gets really wet and the feathers do have a tendancy to clump up in the mud. Bathing in warm water doe sthe trick and a little gentle blast with the hairdrier afterwards sorts it out a treat! We have wood bark in their run just to keep them off the mud in bad weather.
