lillybettybabs
Well the spring weather yesterday put me into a cleaning mode! I cleaned the conservatory out as it is used mainly as a hospital for poorly pets in the winter. Moved the chickens storage bin and cleaned it as the mice had dug underneath it (food indoors now). Cleaned the spare Eglu run out ( wood shavings) but now have a bare patch of lawn (like most of the lawn) and bedmax everywhere! Went round the house with the cobweb brush and wiped doors down and skirting boards. Cleaned Rodger the Rayburn and wire brushed the stove and oven. Washed the dogs quilts and covers. Anyone else started their spring clean yet?
Lavenders_Blue
Gosh I'm exhausted just reading that! I'm working myself up to a spring clean I've got a few day's annual leave that I need to take before the end of March so I'll probably use those to have an assault on the house - lots of stuff needs taking to the charity shop/tip. Once I've cleared out a lot of the rubbish I can start having a good clean. Looking around me at the moment, I can see lots of jobs I need to tackle - the stone fireplace has marks on it which need removing, the coffee table and windowsills are covered in junk, the ceiling light is covered in cobwebs and the patio doors have a selection of grubby marks at dog nose level On second thoughts... perhaps I should just get a cleaning company in to blitz it and use my leave to do something fun instead! Egluntyne
I got someone to come and clean my oven yesterday. Does that count?
lillybettybabs
I might get someone to do the garden as it's looking a mess. I'm building up the strenght to attack OH's side of the wardrobes ( nothing on coat hangers!). He also has three man draws that are full of junk! C&T
My ambition is to get down to one junk draw *sigh* It's all about the size of your draws Well, I've looked around, decided the house is absolutely perfect and doesn't need a clean!! We also have building work starting soon... So should I find anything that needs cleaning... I think I will wait till after they have finished! Looney
Oh my, I definitely need to do a major spring clean / clear out! I just don't know where to start I also have plans to change the ladies run to stop it becoming so muddy and horrible so quickly so that's a job to do hopefully starting this weekend if the weather stays fine. It really is feeling more spring-like today
The Dogmother
Building work still ongoing and it's so frustrating being stuck at work on a lovely day when I'd really like to be cleaning and sorting. You go for it Karen!

Angie
Worming the chucks this week and a planned mega clean out next week. reguardless of the weather, will be taking a trip to the tip and will be adding some extras from sort out in the house . Does that count ? Already done the throws on sofa and chairs, wiped down the paint work.....just making a start you see. I have noticed new growth starting on the rose bushes, tiny green shoots so spring is on the way...
lillybettybabs
I have a tip trip planned when OH is away , I'll chuck one keep one with the PC wires he collects. He came home with three sack barrows in kits (someone was chucking) i feel they need to go to new homes now! Also we have a sack of ballast that needs a new home. I had a pressure wash frenzy this afternoon in the kennels and started the patio. My OCD dog Dylan went to bed with a big smile on his face - everything just how he likes it CLEAN! lillybettybabs
I might do if i can't shift them. If anyone wants a sack barrow for shifting chicken feed etc i'm the lady to talk to.
The Dogmother
Is it one of these? If so, may I pick one up on Saturday? I have 6 sacks of chicken poop to barrow through to the front for collection and that would be a better fit down my narrow side alley than a wheel barrow. Olly
No spring cleaning for me, I am still decluttering. A job I have been putting off and really must do, though, is rubbing down and oiling my wooden worktops before they are irrecoverably marked.
