Alis girls
One of our hens uses her water trough to wash her feet - doesnt matter which type it is when I come to change the water its a muddy mess. She also holds it still with one foot whilst she drinks. They regularly pull the grub off and leave it on the ground to eat from.
surfer_chicken
One of my ex batts pecks the green omlet rain cover. I can't see any reason for it but she's done it since her first week here
Eggasperated
My Carol is a 'bustler', she seems to bustle round elbowing anyone out of the way that she thinks might have a tasty treat. She spends more time doing this than actually getting anything so I can't see what she gets out of it, unfortunately it's so comical that I can waste hours just watching her . lindafw
my funny habit girl died today...she used to tip her head back and lay it sideways on her neck...I thought she had broken her neck when I first saw her...she pottered around with the others happily all winter and was due to give me any day now..but I found her in the garden this evening
KimmyCustard
My Columbian Blacktail (Marge) HAS to get in the Cube whilst I'm poo picking, even if she's up the other end of the garden, as soon as she hears the clunk of the back of the Cube being removed, she hares down the garden and jumps into the nest box for a nose round! Very odd. Sorry to hear about your girl Lindafw. x

Griffin
We have the silly bedtime rituals too, they insist on going to bed in almost exactly the same order night after night. Olive Poland & Hob"Ooops, word censored!" are always by far the earliest ones to bed. Top girls Poppy & Robin are always the last, except for Penelope Devereux who roosts on top of her coop until I go outside, one look from me and she flies down, says a few words and slowly walks into the coop
