A dull start to the day here but beautiful since mid afternoon

 

Blue skies and a very blustery warm wind. Went for a lovely walk with the doglet- looked dark and inky blue over towards Dartmoor so I think we were lucky to have escaped a downpour.

We've had cool, windy, wet weather today with an incredible downpour after lunch .

Dull, chilly and windy here, we have only had about 5mm of rain over the past few days and to honest could have done with some more for the allotment, we have had dull days so it may as well have rained.

My water butts were nigh on empty so I'm hoping they are more full now.

Been dull and dreary here in Paulton nr the mendips its is a bit brighter now though but windy: My own internal body thermometer is in trauma and confusion as we are going from hot days to cold days and my ankle injury doesn't know what to do, it got so chilly I had to briefly zap the heating on (in a stealth like commando crawl so hubby didn't see)was relieved to hear my neighbour had done so to at least Im not the only wimp in our road

I don't blame you it has been really cold indoors this weekend if you were just trying to sit and relax, ok if you were doing something, but I had a warm cardi on all day yesterday.

I had the stove going yesterday late afternoon - it was really nippy and we were tired and cold after a morning spent in the pouring rain.

It was very warm and humid here yesterday but fresher this morning.

The breeze is picking up and the rain is on it's way. We could do with a bit- the garden is parched and my water buts are very low.

Yesterday evening was really lovely, had a gorgeous walk. Today has dawned cloudy and a cool 14deg with rain expected after lunch.... not great timing as we have outdoor electrical work starting at work today and the window cleaner has just turned up

It is supposed to be a nice evening here and then then better weather is forecast.

I was woken up at 2am by pouring rain but it must have stopped fairly quickly as it didn't make much of an inroad into filling my water butts back up.

 

Cool and drizzly start but it's quite warm now.

Simply perfick here today - 21deg in the shade, not too hot and the sun is out. The sprinklers are going on the lawn outside my office, with wee birds bathing in them. Piglets are lying in the shade, as are the other animals... except for the stoopid alpaca, which are in the full sun

It's hot here- 24 degrees but a slight breeze. Just lovely

22.2deg in the shade, just sat outside after lunch and it wasn't too hot, just right.

Yesterday was just perfect as you say DM, lovely sunny and warm. Hotter today and it is supposed to get hotter again as the days go on for the next week or so.

Yes, hotter today, the thermometer (which is in the sun) currently registers 32deg Lovely and cool inside though and the dogs are stretched out on the stone floor in the kitchen. We have some clouds now, which weren't there this morning, but it hasn't cooled down at all. Rosie is with some friends at the outdoor pool, and under strict instructions not to over-do it as she has a triathlon tomorrow - that will be fun in the heat . Luckily they aren't outside for too long, but long enough to get very hot... I will ice some water bottles to take with us, and a cool, wet towel.

We got up to a staggering 32.4c ( in shade all day thermometer.) And that was when Wimbledon com...said Heathrow had 28c and that was at 5pm , it is down to 30c atm and it is very oppressive due to the actual heat. But the washing dried in No time at all.

29 here - aka 84.2! I wilted ages ago!!!!

Much the same here but with a good breeze, I am loving it for a change, I cope with the heat so much better since my thyroid was sorted.

 

ED is suffering massively with her hayfever though and my nose is very tickly

I haven't had hayfever for some time now but this year is not nice. Still not as bad as I was so I sympathise greatly with those really bad with it. Especially those having to sit through exams feeling totally miserable.

Very hot here today too, luckily it's cool indoors

 

I seem to have grown out of the hayfever i grew into about 10 years ago - I am convinced that it was linked to my previous job (of 10 years) as I was really bad at work.

Hot again already here today.

My hay fever is still raging- bumbling around in an antihistamine daze

Wish I would grow out of it but had it for the past 40 years so not holding out much hope!

 

No water left in the butts here and everywhere is starting to look very crispy.

A few evening showers would be lovely... not in the daytime though

Gorgeous here already - was lovely and peaceful until they started to put up a marquee outside my office for an event this week

Gorgeous here, warm, sunny, not humid, with a cooling breeze, got the house to myself too bliss.
