After a week of lovely mild, dry weather, we had a couple of rainy days and then the most glorious spring day yesterday. Blue skies and 15 degrees :D

Back to murky with showers today but I hear that the cold stuff is due back at the end of the weekend... possibility of snow

Yes, the same here - mid-week we had the most glorious weather and were sitting out in the sun, but yesterday was vile; thick fog, cols and drizzle all day.

It wasn't too bad this morning... about 6deg with cloud but it looked like brightening mid-morning, it's looking murkier now though and could turn to rain. I've also heard that we're due snow tomorrow

We had a lovely day on Tuesday, after school I met a friend and we shot a few dozen arrows at our club's outdoor ground, it was lovely as long as you were well wrapped up. Much colder on Wednesday and then Friday the fog never cleared and today is cold with some light rain. Not happy as that white stuff is forecast for tonight, tomorrow and Monday :(

Horrible constant heavy rain here for the past 48 hours.

A poor lady lost her life in Looe today when the heavy rain caused a landslip and demolished her house :(

We are heading to Cornwall tomorrow and were warned by the caretaker of the cottage that we are going to that we will need our wellies. It has been tipping down here all day too.

I hope the weather perks up for you Liz!

It's actually sunny and fairly mild this morning at 7 deg. It feels quite Springlike. The forecast for our part of Cornwall (North) is cloudy but dry for the next few days, hopefully they're right

It's very squelchy underfoot though so wellies will definitely be required!

Luckily it is dry this afternoon, but with an evil wind. I can see snow all around us on the high ground, but we've just had 36 hours of non-stop rain and high winds. Luckily our only casualty was our trampoline; OH was out at 1am trying to make it safe. Our local sports hall, where ES has his PE lessons and football training, was evacuated mid lesson yesterday morning when the children heard a loud noise. Upon investigation by the staff one of the external walls had given way, apparently due to the sheer volume of water in the ground. It is now shut whilst further investigations take place. I do hope it is not a huge job as it is a really important building in the community, used by the local primary and secondary schools, as well as football clubs, gymnastic clubs and the local youth club. The local council are in the midst of announcing major cutbacks, here's hoping this doesn't give them the excuse to shut it down.

Lovely sunny weather here for the past few days but still very cold.

Much more cheerful to have clear and cold than dull and damp though! :D

Just edited to add that it's actually a fair bit milder this morning- Popped my head outside and it feels quite Spring-like. 8 degrees already!

Anyway looks like me and my clan will be off for a walk along the beach and then to clean of and prep the boat for hopefully a good sailing season ..
