It worked! They(teenagers) were downstairs, at 3am... I was upstairs, txting what food was available, where it was, and telling them to keep the noise down!!

I didn't have to get up, saving me getting cold, and saving them the "embrarassment" of a semi dressed parent arriving on the scene!!!

And they cleaned up too :D

I've just downloaded Whatsapp :D . Seems to work well although I've only found 3 people who have it that I would text a lot. I've almost used up my allowance this month so this would be great 8) .

Have also downloaded Viber but people can't hear me when I call them :( . Going to test it out when ES comes home tomorrow.

I'm going to start a new thread on these 2 apps - I feel Omleteers have a right to know about them  .

You are right, UMA stands for Unlicensed Mobile Access, and means you can use IP (internet protocol) to receive and send texts and calls. Which means you can use your WIFI to get mobile signal.

Thanks Fred, I thought you would know what I was talking about :D:D

You need to speak to your network provider, and have a phone which has UMA (most of them do, but not all)

When I got my phone I had a list of about six that were suitable and then I chose one I could get a purple case for
