The Dogmother
I have had it on more of late as I have an 'invalid' at home. The stove is going though so that will keep it warm and the gas bill down.

Christian
Woke up to 0.7C this morning, a frost on the ground when I walked Milo. Storage heater on in my bedroom now - just on low, so I can crank it up when it gets really cold. The Rayburn is on 24/7 now and does keep the lounge and kitchen toasty. chickencam
I caved yesterday, I knew that we would be out in the evening and wouldn't have the fire lit, but the teens would have been cold, not to mention the cats, so I set the heating to come on about and hour before they got home, and it was on again for a short time this morning and evening. Christian
The small oil filled radiators are now on in the lounge and spare room. Feeling so cold you get a headache isn't good, plus I am getting over tonsillitis and a cold anyway, so heating is on for good now! Lighting a fire most nights is always fab though! Gertie
I've just bought an oil filled radiator today - its fab and it works really well. Our heating system broke on Sunday - yes when it was snowing - we had hot water leaking through the ceilings. I really am hoping the plumber can fix it tomorrow as our house has been really ripped apart by the electricians and is cold! We can't use our stove until we get the rest of the system fixed
Charlottechicken
Heating is now set to come on in the mornings. All radiators are on low, bedroom is about 16 degrees and living room about 18. I'm lighting the open (coal) fire on Friday through to Sundays. Woodburner room is full of (mum's) junk which I'm hoping to get her to have back very soon, so I can get in there and light it!
newcountrygirl
Here in Lincolnshire it has been really frosty for the last week. Central heating now comes on for a couple of hours in the morning and evening. Plus I get the woodburner going mid afternoon and we have the Everhot in the kitchen which is on all the time.
