jjmack
Hiya, We are being brave this year and going down south for a BIG family xmas. For the last 10 years or so we have had an agreement with the adult siblings and their OH that we do not do presents as we would rather put it towards the kids presents. Anyway my s in law thinks it will be a great idea as we are all together to buy everyone a little token gift this year - max £5 per person or £10 per couple. In the past we used to but silly gifts such as ear warmers, rude bottle stops etc, but not sure they wil lgo down so well now we are older and wiser! Only need to get 4 (2 men 2 women) but have had no inspiration at all. Any ideas gratefully received. I would happily make them something (fudge / chocs/ chutney etc) but they can be a bit fussy and might not get the thought. j Edited November 20, 2012 by Guest
counturchickens
I got my Hubbie a walnut key last year. Shaped like a key, and you put it in the end of a walnut and it opens. His best present ever and everyone wanted one. That and a bag of walnuts. Got it from cox and cox, pretty sure it was less than a fiver! soapdragon
Not sure if Hawkins Bazaar is still in business but have bought loads of stocking fillery type things from them in previous years so might be worth a try - they do mail order if you are not near a shop. chickencam
Hotel Chocolat do little gift bags of chocolates in their shops if you have one nearby.
Lesley
I use Find me a Gift for little presents. Those of us who are together on Christmas Day have a Secret Santa so we each have to buy just one present each costing about £5 -7. I drew my brother in law last year - notoriously difficult to buy for - I bought him this http://www.find-me-a-gift.co.uk/novelty-office-gifts-evolution-mug.html?gclid=CLaPiqnG2rMCFXHLtAod13QA2g#utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=free&utm_term=Evolution+Novelty+Mug

Luvachicken
In a Dobbies near us (but not sure if it is the same as the other Dobbies though - called Grovelands too) I managed to find a pretty Yankee candle vase type holder for £3.25 and a lovely candle which was £1.80. I'm sure I've seen the holders more expensive than that before, but it did make my secret santa price of £5.
