I don't know why I watched it as I have night terrors that often involve water........but now I've started I shall have to keep watching

I really enjoyed it, although I did find myself averting my eyes on a couple of occasions!! But I love a good old fashioned British ghost story, and I cant wait till next Sunday

I got fed up with it after about half an hour (I am a total wuss anyway so had my eyes shut for a good amount of that time! ). Just as I left the TV to do something else I heard a blood curdling scream and lots of rampant violin music, so I think I left at the right time!

I loved it - love a good ghost story, flinched once or twice. I was convinced it was called crinkley bottom till relasied that was the Noel Edmonds thing yrs back. I also had to place the little actress who was the daughter - she was in the Oreo biccie ad. once had all that out the way could sit back and relax.

I was 'watching' it by proxy - ie I was on the computer and it was on in the background as I am a wuss when it comes to ghosty stories. It was very spooky, especially with all the atmospheric music

i have got ES "woman in black " for Christmas ( well its for both of us really ). I down loaded the book onto OH's new bog standard Kindle and read it in an afternoon! i didnt know it was so short. OH not impressed. I love scared

That is one seriously good spooky film .. I went to the theatre production in Covent Garden, read the book, but it was the film I enjoyed the most, and it has some excellent "jump out your seat moments" with this wonderful creepy atmosphere all the way through. I purchased it when it was released, and have watched it 3 times already

Thoroughly enjoyed it. it was filmed round the corner from me (the suburban bit, not the massive house bit!) and I nearly crashed my car when I spotted Tom Ellis loitering on the pavement one day last summer

Glad I had the dog cuddled up to me but shall have to read something so I don't think about it when I got to bed.

 

Creepy and in order to deal with it I have decided the music is funny not scary (honest )

I thought it was great too,& not too scary.

I loath most horror of ghost movies,as I am not a big fan of blood & gore,nor of being made to 'jump'.....I felt that this was more suspenseful than frightening.

 

Great acting too.

I've recorded it as I'm a wuss too so will catch up with it one day this week. I've read the book and it is really spooky but a great read

According to the Radio Times, the trailer at the end of tonight's episode gives far too much away ... so if you don't want to have it spoilt, turn off before the trailer comes on.
