Terrier alert on chicken plight

Recommended Posts

My poor white Silkie, Doodle, fell in the duck pond around lunch time today. Luckily my little terrier, His Nibbs, was out there at the time and barked and barked till I came out to rescue her. Of all the freezing cold days for this to happen! I fished the poor wee sould out and, accompanied by His Nibbs, took her into the kitchen where she had a hair drying session. Here she is sitting on the bin in the kitchen, all dried off, and sharing bits of cheese with Nibbs.

Nibbs often spends time in the garden with the chickens and has never tried to hurt them in any way, so I really think he was telling us that something dreadful was happening to one of his feathered friends. Luckily Doodle can't read or she would have seen that the bin is labelled 'Dog food' :anxious:
