What I would like to see is someone comment on the fact that Facebook until this week had allowed graphic footage of beheadings to be posted unchallenged.

Good God  Really? :( That is beyond unacceptable.

Ditto to that, plus the VERY delayed removal of very, very graphic injury photos after the Boston Marathon bombing.

Facebook should be held accountable for these terrible things that were allowed to be viewed on their site.

It beggars belief. People have been sharing real footage of beheadings. My 15 year old who thankfully didn't view any had unhindered access as would other children. They though it was fine to let people share this content and thought it was a 'true reflection' of what is going on in the world. Some people got status updates from friends containing videos and those that were curious have been left utterly traumatised.

I don't do either of them myself soapdragon, and can't understand it too.

When i was in Thailand 25 years ago, I was appalled at the way that crowds would gather around a bad car accident (and believe me there are plenty  ) to gawp at at dismembered bodies and take photos, they would also publish really graphic pictures on the front of newspapers of these accidents. I just find it so disrespectful.
