Mrs Blue Sky
I don't think you can do better right now than the Irn Bru one where the Goths are skulking in a bedroom and someone gives them some Irn Bru, they then are transported to the seaside where they rush out of beach huts, dig sandcastles, ride donkeys, all in their beetly black kit, and then go on a roller coaster. It makes me laugh every time. specially since my little girl has come over a bit emo/goth to celebrate being ten it wasn't like that in my day, I just loved \donny Osmond (swoon) by the way I saw him in a DVD of Joseph & multi coaty dreamcoat recently and he has LADY LEGS! I am over him now on account of this.

Ladylucan
One of my alltime favourites was the Ocean Spray drink with Kathy Burke, where she calls the girls a lucky cow I think it was for being so slim, I actually emailed them and said that she just made the advert and how much i loved it, and they sent me vouchers for their drink!!, Glad i mentioned it!!!, x
Egluntyne
Click here to see the most beautiful advert in the world. It is so clever. Usually we only see a shortened version on 't telly.
Lesley
I like that - I didn't know there was a longer version...... ...and then I got sidetracked and watched a really funny ad. - called the Best Ad Ever
Gallina
I don't watch adverts any more, but must have watched a lot in my childhood, as last year I started to list all the old slogans I remembered from the 1950s and 1960s, and it came to hundreds. I consulted a friend, and she came up with a lot more. I then realized that you could find very few of these slogans on the internet (most people who make websites are too young), so I put them together on a website UK television commercials 1955-1985. (Originally I was going to stop at 1970, but we remembered too many good ones from around 1980.) Warning 1: We only put the words, but those of you of mature years will have the music in your head, and you will find yourself singing jingles such as "A finger of fudge is just enough to give the kids a treat" or "Everyone's a fruit and nut-case" if you visit this site. Warning 2: When we got stuck, we went on to TV themes with words, so you may also find yourself singing "Rawhide" if you follow the link at the bottom right. Incidentally, I had a message from someone saying that the word "adverts" only related to printed material, and that the correct word for television was "commercials". Luckily I looked the words up in the dictionary before replying, and was amazed to find that he was quite right. I therefore use both words indiscriminately to maximize hits. Gallina
Lesley: Please forgive me if you come back singing "It's a beatiful day, come to C&A". I forgot to say that if anyone can add or correct anything, I will be very pleased.

Couperwife
Apparently, they didn't get paid to do the advertising, they had to do it for the "love" of the company.
Egluntyne
Apparently, they didn't get paid to do the advertising, they had to do it for the "love" of the company. And get a trip abroad free of charge. The karaoke queen from the Sheffield branch went to South Africa to make that advert. They could have saved a fortune and gone to Barnsley....it looks no different!
Couperwife
ooooh, I didn't know that part, it doesn't look "foreign" I wonder if Halifax realise that it just looks like "local" they could have saved millions
