sadietoo
I am sure we all eagerly await the Royal Baby.... non more so than a friend of my friend who was admitted to hospital for some scary biopsies at the end of last week. Unfortunately her hospital was one which is on standby for the imminent royal presence and so her husband was unable to park near the hospital and doubled up in pain she had to walk into the hospital unaided.... Once in the blinds were closed and no windows were opened so it was stifling...meantime Prince W was playing polo and her Royal Hotness was miles away.......grrrrr I have nothing against our Royal couple, and truly wish them well.....I understand the problems surrounding their security....but please please please could the powers that be use some common sense and remember who pays their wages..... Rant over!
chuckmum6
Poor woman, I totally agree with you, ridiculous!
Margaret
I work almost oppersite the Lindo wing and have been to fight my way past the paparazzi for the last 3 weeks!! Today it is total madness, bet she doesnt even end up in there. Do wish them all the best but really wish they would leave the couple alone, can you imagine what they will say if she arrives in labour, in pain with out her make up on... The Dogmother
.............. Today it is total madness, bet she doesnt even end up in there. Now there's a thought - what if it's a red herring and they planned to go to another hospital all along....
soapdragon
If she is at her Mum and Dad's then my money is on The Royal Berks or JR in Oxford! Wonder how long it would take the journos to get down here!?
redbug
There is a live feed on telegraph you can watch the outside of the hospital

redbug
Sounds the most sensible idea Nice to have a bit of privacy.
yvonne
Naah, I used to live out that way and my money would be on Frimley Park rather than the Royal Berks - much nicer and more accessible and I thought Edwards kids were born there too. The Dogmother
Ahh, now that sounds like it could be a contender, but is it on standby like the Royal Berks is?

Cinnamon
Also the littlest daughter lives just 200 yards from their front door, so she is on stand by to let me know if it looks like anything is happening

Egluntyne
Good. Hope it goes well. I can't abide Paul Harrison on Sky news so it will have to be the beeb for me today.
The Dogmother
*Starts drumming fingers* I was hoping that the predicted change in air pressure today might bring it on.
Willow
Hope for them that it goes well and they have some privacy to enjoy those first moments as a family, but I can't say I'm that interested. I will click on a news story after it's born but won't be following the non news stories on progress today. I realised this morning I was way more interested in news on here of forum babies like HENthusiastic's little one So it's not that I don't get happy hearing about new babies; I'm just bored of the news on this one and a bit sad for William and Kate that they will have such a media frenzy around them. Lavenders_Blue
I am in total agreement Patricia. I doubt they will get much by way of privacy, but I really hope that they do. They need time to adjust and settle as a family and enjoy their little one without the media getting in the way.
chickencam
Good luck to her, I really feel for her with everyone knowing what is going on and waiting for her to give birth. I hope that all goes well. She must have hated these last few weeks, not being able to just pop out and the heat and knowing that the world was waiting.
