Who's started Wrapping!!

Recommended Posts

Oh I'm getting abit worried that you might all think my enthusiam for christmas means I do the blow up stuff and santa jumping out of the chimney stuck on the front of the house.

I am going to ask Mikey to take some pics for the forum. I won't sleeep at night if you all think I like tat!!!:lol::lol::lol:

We do have a drive round and start doing an evening walk to look at lights. In our village (fortunately) it's all nice lights. In a nearby village the undertakers :shock::shock: does a big lighting thing for charity.

Wonder if you can complain about hideous christmas decs if they go up next door :?

 I hope you've wrapped mine? and ClareT's? and Dan's?

Yes, can you wrap mine, pretty please? Don't know when I am going to find time to write the cards and wrap the pressies.

My aunt and uncle have just sent Rosie's present to me - they have sent a sheep to Ethiopia on her behalf. She is collecting quite a farmyard out there now!

I've seen a huge hideous Santa in someone's front garden (NOT, I stress, in mine!)

I can only chuckle unkindly really because you can guarantee that it will have been punctured well before Christmas!

Am I mean or  ?

I hope that doesn't mean that you're creeping out in the night armed with a hat pin :lol::lol::lol:

I've seen some enormous inflatable Santa's this year. There's one close to my work that just about fills up the entire front of the house- it's only a small terraced house with maybe 4" from pavement to house front. I'm convinced that it must block out almost all the light from the front window. And in these high winds I hope it's well anchored down, else Santa could be going flying, without sleigh, Rudolph or his reindeer pals

I'm not so mean as to go out with a hat pin! I don't need to be - someone else will do the job, I'm sure. The one I saw must have been 10 feet tall! The mind boggles - did someone blow it up by mouth?:D

 No, keep off topic...I haven't bought any presents yet, let alone wrapping, nor started cards.

Thought Carry on huffing & Puffing was much more fun topic...although I did have to read back a page to see how it had stooped so low.

There's a house locally which does the full works on Christmas lights and Santas. Although part of me deplores the waste & tackiness, it's become part of our festivities now as we always walk Esther round to see it. The traffic is a problem though...I'll be surprised if there isn't an accident sometime as all the drivers slow down to look.

Also, I love to see things through a child's eyes. We saw lights on a pub roof depicting Santa climbing up to the chimney. Simple and effective, as he disappeared at the top & then started again. Esther was impressed but reassured me...that's just a decoration, not the real Father Christmas. Ahhhh...and she'll be 10 this month! Innocent like her mother
