bluekarin
Passed away last night in her husbands arms. Such a shame she didn't make Christmas like she hoped. She seemed like a lovely, genuine person. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-29685903
chickencam
Very sad, she was a vibrant person who had overcome many difficulties over the years. She had such a positive attitude right to the end. R.I.P.
Egluntyne
What a shame that she didn't get the Christmas she wanted. Brave lady.
Charlottechicken
Agree with all the above. What a shame, but she grabbed control of what was left of her life and went on her terms, good for her. RIP

Groovychook
So very sad. I heard her interviewed on Woman's Hour recently and she sounded remarkably upbeat. Incredibly sad that she didn't make her Christmas milestone

Ain't Nobody Here
How sad. She went out with dignity and in style though.
Purplemaniacs
Very sad, it a shame that she didn't make Christmas. She seemed a very genuine type of person. I heard an interview today where she thought being open and talking about death would give comfort to her family and make it easier to cope with when the time came. I hope they find some comfort in that. Chrissie

chickencam
So very sad. I heard her interviewed on Woman's Hour recently and she sounded remarkably upbeat. Incredibly sad that she didn't make her Christmas milestone I heard this interview today after being told about it, it was so moving. She was so honest and straightforward, as well as upbeat if only everyone could be so open about difficult subjects. Jeni Murray was so moved and was obviously going to miss her friend
The Dogmother
So very sad, but positive in that she'd made her peace and went on her terms and with great honesty.
