clucker1
You could ask your supplier to clip their wings if you don't fancy doing it yourself or aren't confident enough. It is easy peasy, but when I was a chicken newbie I got mine done before bringing them home. Good luck, have fun and it will be just like Christmas! PixieDust
The phone, camera and video will be fully charged I could ask clucker but I am not worried about doing it. See what he suggests.
Beantree
You need some of their food to take so that they don't get too many changes at once PixieDust. About a weeks worth giving you time to phase in your brand. Were they on grass or will that be new to them? If new they need to be introduced to it only when all have full crops. Have they been wormed and if so when? Have they been immunised and if so get a copy of the programme for future reference? Are they used to perching at night or will you be teaching them? Exactly how old are they (hatching date) so how far off point of lay? All things we asked when we picked up our three last month. They preferred our feed and the changeover was instant so the stuff we were given was composted! They are being wormed now. They were free range but took to confinement very well indeed. I think they liked the security in their new surroundings. Ours were not immunised. They were hatched 5th May 2014. "Should lay soon" was the best I got as some were but he couldn't tell which. Digging in the nest box today so perhaps tomorrow?
