feemcg
Thats wee Anna away back to school this morning. She was so excited, bless her . I can't believe my baby's in Primary 4 - how did that happen . The big one's away back as well - got back from Spain at 1 o'clock this morning (with the boyfriend ) and back to school for 9! Anyway, good news for you guys down south - usually when the Scottish schools go back the weather's lovely
susiepoos
oh yes school soon - it cost me £110 yesterday for blazer, trousers, shoes, school bag and stationery - thank God he's not at private school must admit he looks very smart but I'd never tell him that
Egluntyne
Well that's another year as good as over. My Dad used to say that he felt he was eating Christmas Pudding every other week. I'm beginning to see what he meant.
Karen & co.
I didn't really want to think about school going back yet I'm lucky to work in a school, and love having the children off for the summer (yes my mental state has been questioned ) This time I'll only have one at primary, as Christopher starts at high school with the other 2, how did that happen karen x
The Dogmother
Rosie's back the first week in September - I can't believe how the holidays have rushed by!
Guest
Caitlin starts P1 next Tuesday - I can't believe that my baby is old enough to start school. She gave us a fashion show yesterday of her new uniform, and it made me quite teary - I'm going to be a gibbering wreck next Tuesday after I drop her off. The house is going to feel very empty and quiet without her - I think I'm going to have to have another baby to 're-fill' the house........ feemcg
Absolutely Shona, have a baby - I don't know anyone with a new baby so maybe I could come over for a wee hold

Snowy
Daniel starts school this time (end August) and I've just realised that I only have one day between now and him starting when I can shop for his uniform How did that happen? I thought I had plenty of time left!!!
Cinnamon
Hasn't it just flown by - I can't believe it I still have mine until Sept 6th, & as they are bigger children they don't out grow their clothes quite so quickly any more (huge sigh of relief!) I just need to get Cleo new Football boots, which means a trip to the loathed JJB Sports
The Dogmother
It always happens Snowy I got Rosie to try her uniform on the other day, luckily her skirts still fit, but she'll need new white polo shirts and tights.. oh, and shoes! Jules.
I need polo shirts, socks & PE shorts for Alexander. Last school year a boy in his class deliberately put acrylic paint on Alexander's sweatshirt ( the boy was running amock in the art room) so I got a new sweatshirt from school free - and they let me choose the bigger size Our school charges £8 for a sweatshirt & £7.50 for a polo shirt which has the school log on- I go to Asda for Alexander's polo shirts
nicki9
Please don't mention the "back to school" words, that means only 2 weeks and my days of playing with kids and chooks are over for another year (or so it feels). It's bad enough with all the result stuff on telly, it really puts a dampener on the last two weeks of my hols before it's back to work again!!! I must go and enjoy the sun whilst it's here! Cate in NZ
Mine aren't back until Sept 4th, I love the summer, I love having them at home and having more time to do things together instead of continually chasing our tails with school runs, homework, after school activities, permanently (or so it feels ) washing and ironing school uniforms. I love the summer hols (Oh, and I've worked all through the summer too, all except one mad week of holiday which was filled with appointments- dentist, optician, physio, hairdresser, cars serviced & mot'd, shopping for uniform - not got it all yet though -etc. etc. I'm sure all mums out there will get the picture )
Cinnamon
Kate, that is exactly how I feel. I love the holidays, love not having to get up at 6.30 every day The girls now they are older help with the cooking & cleaning, so thats good for me too We try to do EVERYTHING in the first week - all those appointments - then we can chill for the rest of the time. We have actually done very little these hols, except a couple of shopping or cinema trips, & it has been lovely
The Dogmother
I'd so love to have the summer off with Rosie I've been able to take a whole week (last week) plus a few days here and there. Her dad has taken two whole days off out of the 6 weeks to have her , the rest of the time she's in summer camp, whcih she loves... swimming every day, games, sports... We had so much planned to do, but the hols are nearly over now
